A simple, seasonal pudding before blood orange season is over 🍊
In the colder, darker months, blood orange is a flavour I turn to again and again. Bringing vital colour and flavour to the kitchen, it’s as though nature knows we need a boost. I’m a big citrus fan, but something about blood orange makes it my favourite: it has an almost herbal, aromatic flavour I find, making it more complex than your average orange. I love that it’s not overly sweet so works equally well in both savoury and sweet dishes, adding a burst of flavour to salads but equally at home in a cake.
