Every season, bringing a little of the outside inside and adding foraged touches to my seasonal decor is one of the ways that I ground myself in the moment. The rowan tree and its vivid red berries are so evocative of Mabon, the Autumn Equinox, to me, so it’s the principle ‘ingredient’ in today’s craft. I’m sharing a little of the rowan’s folklore from Scotland as well as how to identify it, its uses for foraging, and the step-by-step instructions to make your own garland to decorate your home. Happy rowan spotting!
