I went to Edinburgh Farmers’ Market today and left feeling filled with seasonal inspiration. It is the first place where I came across Slow Food Scotland and the SLOW movement over ten years ago now: the acronym stands for Sustainable, Local, Organic and Whole. My interest piqued, I started to learn about the different ways slow and seasonal living could shape a more mindful life - and over a decade later I’m even writing a book about it! Here in the UK we are spoilt for choice with late Summer and early Autumn produce at this transitional time of Mabon. Here’s my seasonal list of ingredients and some ideas for what to make with them.
