We liked the name and it was on our shortlist, then decided that he looked like a Laurie when he arrived! There are a few literary Lauries and Lawrie is also Scots for fox/ the Latin word for bay, which we also love - connection to his heritage and to nature! πŸ₯°

There’s a great community heritage orchard in Duddingston village, up a lane off the Causeway. They are having an apple day on 5th October.
